Liquid cooled motors are AC induction, squirrel cage enclosed motors cooled externally or internally by various cooling media.

Liquid cooled motors are available in a wide range of sizes, power ratings and speeds.

Liquid cooled motors have several advantages over typical air-cooled machines such as higher power ratings in smaller packages, lighter weight machines and high-speed machines. Available fractional through 1000 horsepower.

Some typical applications are machine tool spindle motors, high power test stand dynamometers, high-speed test stand motors and dynamometers, low inertia/high response machines, torque/pulse simulation testing and electric vehicles prime movers and accessory drives.
